A Red Head in Austin: A cautionary tale for Chris Brown fans
When I was 19 I married my high school sweetheart. He had never hit me in anyway. Never had yelled at me. He was in the Navy and we moved nearly 1000 miles away from home. We had been married one week when he first slapped me. I forgave him. We had been married about a year when he first punched…

The Unfollowables
I love twitter and am getting comfortable with facebook. I have used both enough to have established my likes and dislikes. (I don’t have any for tumblr because I haven’t decided how I want to use this site yet. Still getting the “feel” of it.)

Happy Thought
Sometimes, it’s really really hard to see the good stuff. And all you’ve got left is gratefulness that things aren’t worse.

The “I Can Fly” Thoughts for Today
- Warm puppy on my lap.
- Early afternoon scheduled nap.
- Close my ears to all the crap.
That’s what happy days are made of …

Thursdays Happy Thoughts
- Foggy mornings.
- Oreos and coffee.
- People who make good follow up phone calls. Keeping clients, employees, vendors, customers in the loop is awesome.

Three for today
- Job hunt for hubby has been very busy! Don’t know what I’d do if ALL we had to do was sit around and wait.
- Son being so strong and independent. He told me that if hubby took a job out of the country, he’d stay and finish up his college. What a smart kid.
- Crock pots. I like being able to throw ingredients into a pot the morning and magically having a meal ready at the end of the day.
